Tobogganing, Ice Games and Segway Trekking
In the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis region, winter sport doesn’t just mean skiing and snowboarding, as you’ll find out at the Take Off Center at the Serfaus Komperdell, where our guests can use a variety of fun sport equipment or rent a classic toboggan. You can look forward to a thrilling ride on the good 3½km-long toboggan run, with its waves, ramps, steep descents and five 90° corners. The other toboggan run, in Fiss, is also well worth a go! It starts out a little flatter, but later becomes a lot steeper and has a lot of sharp chicanes to manoeuvre your way through.
In sunny Ladis, however, ice skating and “Eisstockschiessen”, a variant of curling popular in our part of the world, are very much the order of the day. In a romantic location at the castle’s pond, you can put your skills to the test as you have a go at Eisstockschiessen (equipment must be rented).
Segway Trekking, which has meanwhile become popular throughout Austria, is also worth a try. Standing on a 4.7hp self-balancing electric scooter that reacts to shifts in body weight, you’ll have a whale of a time! After a30-minute introductory session, you may choose whether to undertake a 60-minute tour over the high plateau or tackle the 20-minute obstacle course.
